Founded on two decades of philanthropic work by Hagerty, we believe that it is vital to help fund the next generation of craftsmen. In order to perpetuate this work and assist a worthy cause that supports the families of our veterans and heroes, the Hagerty Drivers Foundation announced a $50,000 grant to the non-profit Folds of Honor. Launched in 2007 by Lt Col Dan Rooney, Folds of Honor has provided life-changing scholarship to the spouses and children of fallen and disabled veterans and first responders, helping to ensure the families of our American heroes are not forgotten.
The Hagerty Drivers Foundation grant will support 10 Folds of Honor scholarships for students training in the automotive space. The grant was made in-part by funding from the Hagerty Drivers Club, which held its first annual Horsepower for Heroes rally in October 2025. Members and driving enthusiasts from 16 states participated in Horsepower for Heroes and raised an additional $24,240 for Folds of Honor scholarships.
"We are thankful for the Hagerty Drivers Foundation's support," said Lt Col Dan Rooney, founder and CEO of Folds of Honor. "Like the Hagerty Drivers Foundation, the auto industry is patriotic and understands the importance of an education. These automotive scholarships will provide students with a boost towards their aspirations to enjoy a successful career in the automotive industry."
The Hagerty Drivers Foundation is proud to assist in Folds of Honor's goal of helping equip and educate the families in need of their support. We believe that these grants will give hope to the bearers of those Americans that paid the ultimate sacrifice.
